Jan’s Most Popular Topics
Friendship and Relationships
Wanted: A Few Good Women
Do you find that you always look for friends among people who are like you? God wants to enrich our lives and give us opportunities to pour our own gifts into the lives of others. Learning to see others through different “lenses” open up the door to Fabulous Friendships.
The Velveteen Rabbit
Jan uses this wonderful children’s story to share how becoming real and transparent through unhindered love, deepens our friendships.
The Runaway Bunny
Another touching children’s story becomes the basis for teaching on the steadfast love of the Lord who pursues us. When we have received this love, we can freely extend it to others.
Becoming An Encourager
Life the hearts and spirits of family members, friends, and neighbors who are dealing wih life crises and storms – such as: divorce, illness, death. Learn from the great encouragers in the Bible: Jesus, Barnabus, and the good Samaritan, ways to extend compassion and hope to the hurting. A challenging talk on “how to” effectively show God’s love.
Boundaries (Half-Day Workshop)
Learn when to say yes and when to say no, so you can serve God within your own giftings and abilities. Be free from constantly trying to live up to everyone else’s expectations.
Beautiful Blossoms and Fresh Fruit
She is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields fruity in its season. Ps 1:3 Based on Psalm 1:1-3, you will leave this talk with a fresh view on what it takes to live life joyfully, influencing and blessing others as you go.
Words – Seeds or Weeds
Everyday we come into contact with people in our home, neighborhood and work who need to be lifted up and encouraged. This thought provoking and inspiring talk reminds us that our words are powerful and that they can become destructive weeds in the lives of others or seeds that bring tremendous blessing.
The Blackberry Tale
Most of us have at one time or another experienced a hurt in our lives that has cause anger and perhaps bitterness. This talk is Jan’s personal testimony of how God used a blackberry bush to reveal to her a “root of bitterness” in her own heart and how He set her free from it.
The Creche In The Corner
Jan shares her personal testimony of chaos and stress preparing for Christmas. Then on Christmas Day the sight of the Nativity Scene lost amongst the clutter of wrapping paper sent a poignant message to her that permanently changed the way she celebrates this blessed holiday.
