We are dedicated to providing a faith-based support system which assists men and women in prison or in transition from incarceration or homelessness, to be productive in society.
We are committed to drawing others into a closer relationship with Christ.
We firmly believe in rebuilding lives by re-establishing emotional health and re-building good Christian character.
We endeavor to restore self confidence in the men and women we minister to, through teaching them practical living skills.
We believe in encouraging and equipping men and women to be faithful servants in God’s kingdom by offering them specific classes and studies designed to help them… and their family’s lives, be fruitful.

and release from darkness for the prisoners,”
Statement of Faith
- In the Trinity of the Godhead – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit;
- That the Scriptures are totally and completely inspired by God, and their teachings and authority are absolute, supreme and final;
- The personality of God; the personality and deity of Jesus Christ (Jesus Christ and God are one; Jesus Christ is God incarnate in the flesh), begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very Man; the personality of the Holy Spirit;
- The resurrection of Jesus Christ – that His body was raised from the dead, according to the Scriptures and that He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God as the believer’s Advocate;
- The sinfulness of man – that all human beings are born with a sinful nature are totally depraved, and need a Savior from sin;
- The atonement- that Jesus Christ became the sinner’s sacrifice before God when He shed His blood and died as the propitiation (payment) for the sins of the whole world;
- The necessity of the new birth – salvation is by grace, through faith, and not of works. Saving faith will maintain good works in the life of the believer;
- The literal resurrection of the body- both of the just and the unjust;
- The everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting punishment of the lost;
- The evangelization of the world. The supreme mission of God’s people in this age is to preach the gospel to every creature;
- The second coming of Christ, according to the Scriptures.
In 1998, Rosalie Campbell founded and established Garden Path Ministries to offer courses and encouragment to women who were struggling with dysfunction not only within themselves, but also withing their family. Rosalie wrote a course called Come Back to the Garden to help work through emotional hurts and damaged emotions and trained facilitators to lead support groups (mainly women) at local churches.In 2002, Rosalie connected with ASK Mentoring Outreach, which was a local Christian organization that matched women in prison with a sponsor-mentor on the outside. Garden Path Ministries (GPM) received authorization through the Protestant Chaplain at California Institution for Women (CIW) in Corona, CA to offer the Come Back to the Garden restoration study as a correspondence course.
GPM trained women from several churches as “respondents”. They were matched with women in prison who enrolled in the CBTTG course. Women from other prisons heard about this study course and wrote requesting to be enrolled. This course is currently being used by inmates in California, Texas, Arizona and Oklahoma.
In 2007, GPM filmed a series called Living Skills for Success. This eight-part video with qualified speakers was offered as a video-discussion class to inmates at California Institution for Women for five years. The classes were well received by the female inmates with maximum attendance during that time. When the state changed their policy in 2012 about the number of Christian groups allowed to give classes, GPM had to terminate classes at CIW and find another outreach facility for ministry.
Early in 2012, a retired CA parole agent, Lisa Abma Kammert volunteered with GPM to help previously incarcerated women re-enter society. She set up classes at a complex near the parole office in Moreno Valley, CA. GPM was able to arrange to rent an office space. FOCUS – Focus Center for Utilizing Services was opened in August, 2012 for women re-entering society. FOCUS offered Living Skills for Success classes along with housing resource information. Soon after, other qualified volunteers offered Legal Counseling and Job Development as resources for those in need who came into the FOCUS Center.
In April, 2013, Teddi Vesey took over as Administrator of GPM and also as Director of FOCUS. FOCUS, the outreach ministry, expanded as we responded to a need in our community to help the many homeless men who stayed near GPM’s office complex in Moreno Valley. . . our ministry’s doors opened to them.
Today the homeless are provided with food, clothes, hair cuts and bus passes. Other programs, resources and services include: Framework for Recovery, Anger Management, Drug and Alcohol Counseling, Peer Coaching, Job Development, Housing Referrals. Bible studies are now offered to the men (which comprise 95% of those who utilize FOCUS Outreach Center).
